Product Performance

1. How should I use Crystal deodorants for best results?
   For best results, apply Crystal deodorants directly after bathing or showering. Doing so prevents the bacteria that cause odor from forming on the skin. The preventive barrier that our deodorant provides works at peak effectiveness when applied to recently washed skin.
   
   Note: If you do not apply the stick or rock directly after bathing or showering, be sure to moisten the top of the rock or stick and apply generously to clean skin. Crystal sprays and roll-ons do not need to be moistened, but work best when applied to clean skin.
2. Will Crystal deodorant reduce my sweat?
   Crystal is not an antiperspirant. It is a deodorant whose natural mineral salts prevent odor.
3. Can I use Crystal on other parts of my body?
   Since Crystal deodorants are made of mineral salts, they are safe to use just about anywhere on the body. In addition to using underarm, many of our customers apply to their chests, feet and inner thighs.
4. How long does a Crystal stick last?
   A single Crystal Body Deodorant stick can last up to one year making it a great value.
5. How long does a Crystal roll-on last?
   The Crystal deodorant roll-on will typically last up to four months, comparable to other roll-ons on the market.
6. How long does a Crystal spray last?
   Crystal deodorant sprays typically will last up to four months, comparable to other sprays on the market.
7. How long will a single application prevent body odor?
   A single application of a Crystal deodorant should prevent body odor for up to 24 hours.
8. Is Crystal an antiperspirant?
   No. Crystal deodorants are not antiperspirants. Antiperspirants inhibit the activity of sweat glands so they produce less moisture. Deodorants are generally considered cosmetic product because they simply control odor. Antiperspirants, on the other hand, are considered drugs because they affect the body’s physiology. 9. How do I know when Crystal is working?
   Crystal Body Deodorant is invisible and unscented. Once applied to clean skin, it neutralizes the bacteria that cause odor. You’ll know Crystal is working because you won’t be emitting any body odor.
10. Is Crystal safe for infants and toddlers?
    Yes. Crystal deodorants are safe for people of all ages.
11. Is Crystal safe for use by women during pregnancy?
    Yes, Crystal deodorants are safe to use during pregnancy.
12. Why don’t Crystal Body Deodorants have a scent?

1. Where can I find Crystal deodorants?
   Crystal Body Deodorants are available at leading retail chains and health food stores. They may also be purchased online at Amazon, Drugstore.com, and here on the Crystal web site. Crystal essence Pomegranate Roll-On and Spray is now available at Rite-Aid.

Product Provenance / Ingredients

1. Do Crystal deodorants contain aluminum chlorohydrate or aluminum zirconium? No. Crystal deodorants do not contain aluminum chlorohydrate or aluminum zirconium.
2. What is cellulose and why do we use cellulose in our roll-ons?
   Cellulose is a natural ingredient that acts as a thickener to help prevent the deodorant from leaking out of the bottle. Learn more about cellulose.
3. Do Crystal products have alcohol?
   No. Crystal deodorants do not contain alcohol.
4. Why do we refer to a “Rock” when discussing Crystal products?
   Crystal created what is now called the “Rock” (also “stone”) category. It refers to the alum, or mineral salts that are shaped and molded during the manufacturing process into a rock-like material.
5. Why does Crystal Body Deodorant have no scent?
   Mineral salts have no scent. We opted not to add scent to our flagship Crystal Body Deodorants because we believed that our customers preferred their deodorant not to compete with the fragrances of their colognes and perfumes.
6. What’s the difference between Crystal Body Deodorant and Crystal essence?
   Crystal Body Deodorant is our unscented line of deodorants (roll-on, stick, body spray, original rock, and foot spray). Crystal essence is our line of lightly scented deodorants, available in roll-on and body spray scented with Pomegranate, Lavender & White Tea, or Chamomile & Green Tea.
7. Why did we decide to launch a scented deodorant?
   We launched the scented Crystal essence line because our customers told us they would actually like the choice of a scented deodorant in addition to the unscented Crystal Body Deodorant they currently use. Feedback was clear, however, that the scented product not be “overpowering,” which is why our Crystal essence is lightly scented.
8. What scents do we use for Crystal essence deodorants?
   Chamomile & Green Tea, Lavender & White Tea, and Pomegranate.
9. Where do the Crystal essence scents come from?
   Crystal essence uses natural scents from plants.
10. What differentiates Crystal deodorants from other “natural” deodorants?
    Crystal deodorants eliminate the bacteria that cause body odor. Most other deodorants mask the odor with chemically laden fragrances.
11. Are Crystal products tested on animals?
    No. Crystal Body Deodorant and Crystal essence products have never been and never will be tested on animals. We are proud members of both Leaping Bunny and PETA.
12. Are Crystal products biodegradable?
    Yes, in fact, the ingredients are used for water purification throughout the world.
