How should I use the Crystal Body Deodorant for best results?
Simply moisten the top of the rock or stick and apply generously to clean skin.
Our deodorant stones and liquid formulas should be applied to the skin directly after bathing in this way, the bacteria that cause odor have not yet had the chance to form on the skin, and the preventive barrier that our deodorant provides is at its peak effectiveness.
Note: Crystal Body Spray and Roll-On do not need to be moistened.
Does it contain aluminum?
Our deodorants contain alum, which is a compound formed by the combination of the mineral salt version of aluminum plus the mineral salt potassium or ammonium. Together they form a totally new compound called alum. It differs greatly from the aluminum chlorohydrate or aluminum zirconium compounds found in most Îmainstreamâ deodorants, which are absorbed into the skin. The alum molecule has a chemical structure too large to be absorbed into the pores of the skin and is therefore completely topical and safe. For further information on this subject, please see our Study of Deodorant Stones.
I think this stick is defective; when I bought it, it was already dried out.
Our Rock and stick deodorant stones are actual mineral salt stones. As such, they are dry and must be moistened either by applying it to your wet skin (after bathing) or by quickly running it under the tap before usage.
I´ve been using this for a few days, but it doesn´t seem to be reducing my sweat.
Our deodorant products, whether in the rock, stick, spray, or roll-on form are just that deodorants. They are not anti-perspirants, which block the pores and inhibit the flow of perspiration. Your body will still be allowed to sweat naturally; you simply won’t have the accompanying body odor.
How long is it good for?
As a mineral salt, our deodorant is inert. It does not have an actual shelf¬life and will remain equally effective from the day you purchase it to the day you finally have so little stone left that it´s nearly impossible to use. In the case of the Rock and Stick, we guarantee they will last a minimum of one year!
Why cellulose?
The cellulose found in the Roll-on formula is a natural corn extract. Its properties are used in the Crystal Roll-On as a thickening agent.
